Suspects in Campbell River homicide investigation arrested in Vancouver

South Campbell River Homicide – Update

Information received during the initial stages of the October 16th, 2019, homicide investigation in Campbell River led to the identification of two suspects believed to be involved in the incident.

The suspects were located in the Lower Mainland and at approximately 5pm in Vancouver on October 16th, the two suspects were arrested with the assistance of the Vancouver Police Department (VPD).

During the arrest there was a violent struggle which resulted in one of the suspects being injured. No VPD officers were injured during the arrests.  

At this point in time the two males are in custody, but no charges have been laid. Names of the accused and the deceased are not being released. It is believed that the homicide was targeted and there is an extremely low risk to public safety.
